Burnt Sunshine  by Estelle Pinney. An enchanting story of love and adventure set in 1936 to after WW2. Well worth the read.

Fleur-de-Lis by Isolde Martyn. Love her books. She makes history come to life.

The Other ANZACS by Peter Rees. Stories of nurses at war 1914-1918. A very poignant work using diaries and letters telling heart rending stories, profoundly moving with extraordinary compassion and courage. A unique group in Anzac history. "

Storm Glass by Maria V. Snyder. A worthy successor to the Twilight series. Fills. the void. An original and fascinating new fantasy. There are three in The Glass series.

Web hang outs: Don't hang out. Don't have the time. Just log on when the Bootcampers suggest something.

Favourite food when writing:  Bananas. Or Rice crackers, cheese and olives.

Favourite music: Wagner's Ring Cycle, Mozart, Nana Mouskouri; Olivia Newton-John; Welsh male choirs.

INSPIRATION: My mother and how she handled adversities in her life. My daughter, whose wisdom fills me with awe.

Watching:  The endless changing of the seasons with all the beauty that nature can endow.

Working on:  Manuscripts that need finishing.

JQ, The Other Anzacs sounds fascinating - they are a forgotten group. Glad someone has told their story.

Hi JQ

WWI romance is something I've always loved. All the McDonald brides descended from my grandmother wear a brooch at their wedding - it was her first engagement ring, but her fiance never came home from Anzac Cove. So when she eventually married, she had it made into a brooch. I always think of him and her on Anzac Day. Hope the editing is going well.
